On Christmas Eve teddy bears find it just as hard to go to sleep as children do.

One Christmas Eve not long ago, Grandfather Bear tried everything to persuade the little ones to go to bed. "If you don't go to sleep a Very Important Visitor might not come at all," he warned. He tucked the little bears into bed and crept away.

Grandfather Bear snuggled into his own bed and turned off the light. But could he fall asleep? !I am a silly old bear!, he said to himself. !To be excited about Christmas at my age.!

And what were those noises at the door? Grandfather Bear smiled. "All right, you bad little teddy bears, I'll read you a story until you feel sleepy."
